Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan on Saturday urged students to embrace integrity, social responsibility, and national commitment while addressing the 15th Annual Convocation of Indian Institute of Management Ranchi in Jharkhand.Addressing the graduating cohort, he emphasised that management education must go beyond boardrooms and balance sheets, encouraging students to tackle real-world challenges and contribute to inclusive growth. He underlined that while academic training sharpens analytical abilities, decisions in professional life influence livelihoods, trust, and society at large.
Calling on students to anchor their careers in strong values, the Vice President said success should be measured not only by achievements but also by the ethics guiding those achievements. “Choose character over shortcuts and purpose over profit,” he advised, stressing the importance of integrity in leadership. He also urged graduates to contribute actively to India’s vision of becoming a developed nation by 2047, advocating a “think global, act local” approach with a focus on grassroots impact. Congratulating students, faculty, and families, he noted that the true measure of success lies in giving back to society.
