Charanjit Singh Channi is next Punjab CM

Charanjeet Singh Channi will be the next chief minister of Punjab. After a day long suspense, the Congress high command could decide about the new CM of Punjab. Channi was elected Punjab CLP leader.Channi is a dalit leader of the state.According to information he will take oath on Monday at 11.00 a m. Harish Rawat on Sunday after noon shared Channi's news on twitter.

This comes hours after rumours said Sukhjinder Randhawa had been elected Congress Legislature Party leader. "I am happy with high command's decision.... I want to thank all the MLAs who have supported me. Channi is my brother..." Mr Randhawa said soon after Charanjit Channi was announced as Chief Minister.
