In Maharashtra politics, once a powerful Shiv Sena(UBT) now a days become a weak outfit. But still they are blaming for all mess to the ruling dispensation not its own leadership. The Shiv Sena (UBT), party chief Uddhav Thackeray on Friday said he was ready to step down if party workers no longer had confidence in his leadership. Addressing cadres on the party's 60th foundation day in Mumbai, the former Maharashtra Chief Minister said he was willing to hand over the responsibility to any party worker if members felt he was not the right person to lead, but I will not let it pass on in the hands of thieves," he said. At the same time, he made it clear that he would continue to fight for the party's ideology.
Targeting the BJP, Thackeray alleged that the party was trying to eliminate Shiv Sena (UBT) and claimed that the country was moving towards "one party, no election".Speaking of the alleged rebellion, the Sena leader said 'Shiv Sainiks' are not "disheartened", but "fired up." He also offered an apology to voters over the 'defection' of MPs, saying "I apologise to electors who in 2024 voted for Lok Sabha MPs who have now defected," Uddhav said, adding “These voters voted for us in response to my appeal, Balahsaheb's name. We won these nine seats without using Modi's name.”

Six MPs – Sanjay Dina Patil, Nagesh Patil Ashtikar, Om Raje Nimbalkar, Bhausaheb Wakchaure, Sanjay Deshmukh and Sanjay Jadhav – are speculated to split from the party and support the rival Sena, part of the NDA bloc. The MPs were missing from the Friday's event.On the question of merger with Congress, he said, “As long as merging is concerned, Shiv Sena is formed for Marathi manoos. There is no question of merging it with any party.”
