ICCTest Rankings: Rohit Sharma storms into top10

Indian opener Rohit Sharma moved 6 spots in the latest ICC Test Batting Rankings as he achieved a career-best ranking of No. 8. Rohit, who has been brilliant against spin in the 4-Test series against England at home, is the 2nd highest-ranked India Test batsman after captain Virat Kohli, who has retained his 5th spot on the batting charts.
Senior batsman Cheteshwar Pujara has slipped 2 spots to No. 10 on the Batting Rankings. A series of low scores in the ongoing Test series has come after he was rock solid in India's 2-1 series win over Australia.
Kane Williamson continues to lead the Batting Rankings followed by Steve Smith, Marnus Labuschagne and Joe Root.

Indian off-spinner R Ashwin is moving up the ladder following his match-winning performances in the ongoing Test series. Ashwin jumped 4 spots to No. 3 as he continues to be the only spinner in the top 10 of the Test Bowling Rankings.Left-arm spinner Axar Patel, who made his debut in the 2nd Test, has moved 30 places to the 38th spot. Ashwin recently became the 2nd fastest bowler to reach 400 Test wickets when he picked Jofra Archer's wicket on Day 2 of the Pink-ball Test. While Pat Cummins and Neil Wagner occupy the top 2 spots in the Bowling Rankings, James Anderson has dropped to No. 6.
