In Ladakh, the week-long Summer Carnival 2025 concluded at Major Vishwanathan Stadium in Drass on Sunday, June 15, 2025. The carnival, which began on the 9th of this month, was organized by the Forever in Operations Division of the Indian Army. The carnival witnessed enthusiastic participation from youth across the remote border villages of Ladakh. The event featured traditional sports competitions, including Horse Polo, Archery, and Tent Pegging. In a first-of-its-kind initiative, Women’s Horse Polo was introduced. The Summer Carnival served as a powerful platform for military-civilian interaction, promoting cultural exchange and unity. Locals expressed their gratitude to the Indian Army for encouraging the youth and preserving Ladakh’s rich sporting heritage.A total of 9 men’s and 2 women’s teams participated in Horse Polo, while 10 men’s and 2 women’s teams took part in Archery.
