Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the contribution of great people like Maharaja suheldev cannot be forgotten and that it is a misfortune, those people who sacrificed their lives, were forgotten in history.The Prime Minister was saying this while laying the foundation stone of Maharaja Suheldev Memorial and development work of Chittaura Lake in Bahraich district of Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday through video conferencing. Modi also inaugurated a medical college in the name of Maharaja Suheldev.
The Prime Minister said that it is gross injustice to the great people like Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and Baba Saheb Ambedkar and many other great leaders. He also mentioned about the negligence of Martyrs of ChauriChaura in Gorakhpur.The Prime Minister said Basant panchmi is the most auspicious day of learning and said he prayed that the day invigorates the nation and brings in enthusiasm in the country. Mr. Modi wished all those who are involved in serving India in the fields of research, innovation, nation building, may be blessed by Goddess Saraswati with a lot of success.
Modi said that the development work started on the Panchami day will inspire people and the medical college which is inaugurated today will provide better medical facilities in Purvanchal area. He said it will not only heal the patients of adjoining areas but also the people of Nepal. He said a lot of work is being carried out in state for the development of tourism including International airport at Ayodhya and said Uttar Pradesh attracts more tourists in comparison with other states.Prime Minister said that various expressways including Purvanchal Expressway , Bundelkhand Expressway ,link expressways are being constructed to boost unprecedented development in the state.
Modi said medical and health facilities are continuously increasing in state and the problem of Meningitis in eastern Uttar Pradesh has decreased to a great extent. A lot of work is being done in the field of water conservation and providing drinking water to people under Jal Jeevan Mission.Prime Minister said that new Farm Laws are in interest of farmers but people are misguiding the farmers. He said that Yogi led government in the state has paid dues of sugarcane farmers and doing best for the welfare of them. Mr Modi said that more than 2 lakh families have got papers of property under Gharauni scheme.
