Union Cabinet has approved implementation of Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana for 2021-26. The scheme will benefit about 22 lakh farmers, including 2.5 lakh Schedule Caste and two lakh Schedule Tribe farmers. An outlay of over ninety-three thousand crore rupees will be spent. Terming the decision as historic, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Anurag Thakur on Wednesday said, out of ninety-three thousand crore rupees, thirty-seven thousand four hundred fifty-four crore rupees will be central assistance to states.Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat said, this decision will bring positive change to lakhs of families. Central funding of 90 percent of water component for two national projects has been provisioned. These are Renuka Ji Dam Project in Himachal Pradesh and Lakhwar Multipurpose Project in Uttarakhand. Accelerated Irrigation Benefit Programme, Har Khet ko Paani and Watershed Development components have been approved for continuation during 2021-26.
-The Centre has set up the Price Stabilization Fund to tackle price volatility of agro commodities such as onion, potato, and pulses to protect the interests of consumers. This was stated by Minister of State for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Ashwini Kumar Choubey in a written reply in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday.The Minister said, buffer stocks of pulses and onion are maintained under price stabilization fund to moderate the prices. He said, these efforts deter speculative and hoarding activities. He added, the Government has issued advisory to States and Union Territories to set up the State-level Price Stabilisation Fund corpus. He said, a buffer stock of more than two lakh metric tonnes of onion has been maintained in this fiscal year.
-National Human Rights Commission concluded its two days “Open Hearing and Camp Sitting” in Shillong on Wednesday, recommending payment of 15 lakh rupees as relief in different cases of violation of human rights of people belonging to different categories in the States of Meghalaya, Mizoram, and Tripura.The matters heard in the ‘Open Hearing’ included non-receipt of the report cases; show cause notice cases; and compliance cases. Two cases pertaining to the deaths of labourers in illegal mines in Meghalaya were also heard. One of the cases related to the forcible eviction of Tribal people living in the forest area in Tripura was also heard.In all, 19 cases related to the States of Meghalaya (Six), Mizoram (Three ), and Tripura (Ten), were heard by the Full Bench of the Commission, presided over by Justice M.M. Kumar; Justice Dr. D.M. Mulay and Rajiv Jain, Members of the Commission. A meeting of the Commission with Chief Secretaries, DGS of Police and their representatives, and other senior officers of all the three States was also held. The Commission also held a discussion with NGOs/HRDS and members of the Civil Society, during their interactions that raised issues of healthcare, SCS/STs, women, elderly, and children. The Commission reiterated that the NGOs are actually the eyes and ears of the Commission and they are true partners of the Commission in spreading awareness regarding the promotion and protection of human rights.

Speaking on the occasion of laying the foundation stone of SAINYA DHAM in Guniyal village of Dehradun on Wednesday he said that India is emerging as a strong and powerful country in the world. The Defence Minister said that the problem of one rank one pension of our ex-servicemen was solved by the Prime Minister. He said that every effort has been made by the government for the solution of problems of the soldiers and their families. Continuous efforts have been made by the government to solve the problems of ex-servicemen also. The Defence Minister said that between India and Nepal, there is an unbreakable relationship between bread and daughter.
-Chief Ministers of BJP-ruled states on Wednesday visited Ayodhya for the darshan of Ram Lalla at Shri Ram Janm Bhumi. Heavy security arrangements were in place for the proposed visit of the chief ministers. 9 Chief Ministers of bjp ruled states along with deputy CMs reached Ayodhya in the morning. BJP national president JP Nadda also accompanied them. The group went to Saryu Ghat and performed Jal Abhishek and dugdhabhishek there. They also visited Ram ki paidee area.The dignitaries also went to Hanumangarhi temple for the blessings of Lord Hanuman. They had darshan of Ram Lala at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi.
