Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Saturday released the book Mari Rashtraprathamni Kalpana, authored by Uday Mahurkar and published by Navbharat Sahitya Mandir, at a programme held in Ahmedabad.Addressing the gathering, Patel said that ‘Nation First’ is not merely a political ideology but a way of life. He emphasised that citizens must take pride in India’s culture, traditions and values. Recalling his experiences during foreign visits, he noted that expressing pride in one’s mother tongue reflects the deep connection between language, culture and national identity.
The Chief Minister stated that the philosophy of ‘Rashtra Pratham’ should guide individual conduct and collective action. He said that every individual carries a part of the divine within and must adopt positive values to contribute meaningfully to nation-building. A prosperous and strong India, he added, can be built only when society places national interest above all else.Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat, Patel described unity, integrity and cultural harmony as India’s greatest strengths. He also reiterated the mantra of “Sauno Saath, Sauno Vikas, Sauno Vishwas and Sauno Prayas,” stressing that active participation of every citizen is essential for holistic development.
Gujarat BJP State President Jagdish Vishwakarma said that the Somnath Swabhiman Yatra, organised under the leadership of the Prime Minister, has become a symbol of patriotism and cultural pride. He noted that the history of Somnath represents national self-respect beyond religious faith.During the programme, Gyanvatsal Swami delivered a keynote address. Author Uday Mahurkar shared insights into the book and appealed to citizens to embrace the spirit of ‘Rashtra Pratham’ in their daily lives.The event was attended by Gujarat BJP State Vice President Bharatbhai Pandya, former Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama, MLAs, litterateurs and literature enthusiasts.
