Govt taking steps for exam reforms, President in address to nation

President Droupadi Murmu on Friday said the government was taking comprehensive steps to reform the examination system. The aim was to curb unfair means in public exams and make the process more transparent, secure and trustworthy for students and young people. Addressed the nation on the eve of Independence Day, President Murmu  recalled Operation Sindoor and praised the valour of India’s armed forces. She said the operation sent a strong message to terrorists and their supporters that they would be punished, regardless of where they hide. Murmu said the decision to suspend the Indus Waters Treaty (IWT) with a country that supports terrorism was taken in the national interest. She said the move was also aimed at protecting the interests of Indian farmers.

President Murmu said the upliftment of deprived sections has been given priority. She also highlighted the efforts to set new standards in women’s empowerment and development.She  said the nation belongs to the entire community and added that every citizen has a role in the country’s progress and development.
