Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai flagged off 120 ambulances in Bengaluru on Sunday that will be part of a fleet of 710 ambulances operating under Arogya Kavacha 108 scheme. After the induction, the state now has 275 Ambulances with Advanced Life Support System.The state Health Minister Dr. K Sudhakar has said that the ambulances under the 108 scheme will be given a facelift with GPS and mobile app to ensure that the ambulances reach the patient within 10 to 15 minutes.The technologies will help the ambulances to track the nearest hospital and bring in transparency.The minister said that at present it takes 30 to 45 minutes for the ambulance to reach the patient in urban areas and more in rural areas.
-Kerala is almost getting free from the fear of Nipah spread. Test results of 20 more persons turned negative taking the total negative samples to 108. Though 65 people continue to be under observation, none of them are symptomatic.The test results of samples collected from bats and goats by the Animal Welfare Department has also come out to be negative. The samples were tested in labs in Bhopal.State Health Minister Veena George has informed that the reports by the Central Team regarding Nipah spread is expected within two days. Efforts are still on to find the source of origin of the virus. Kozhikode DMO has d that Nipah prevention measures are still carried out in full vigil at various administrative levels in the district.
-Member of National Commission for Women Chandra Mukhi Devi has demanded immediate appointment of members in the women’s commission of Maharashtra. After taking the cognizance of rape and murder of a woman in Saki Naka area in Mumbai, NCW delegation on Sunday visited the Saki Naka area and also met the relatives of the victim. The NCW team is expected to submit its report after its return to Delhi. NCW member Chandra Mukhi Devi has said that the Maharashtra government should immediately appoint the members of the state women commission and help the relatives of the victim in Saki Naka from Nirbhaya Fund. While speaking to reporters after visiting the victim’s family Chandramukhi Devi came out with many suggestions to the state government.

He said these after he dedicated the 15 MW Rooftop Solar Power Plant erected in Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research JIPMER, Puducherry on Sunday. Naidu also stressed the importance of ventilation and air circulation in buildings. Sunlight is a natural disinfectant. Our ancestors understood this – it reflected in their planning and construction of houses, he said.He underscored the need to create living and working spaces with ample ventilation and natural light in order to maintain good health.
-The Swarnim Vijay Mashaal, touring the Country to mark 50 glorious years of victory over Pakistan during 1971 Indo-Pak War, arrived at Dahung on Sunday. The Mashaal was received at Sessa, Arunachal Pradesh with full military honours. During escort of the Mashaal to Dahung, the cavalcade was ushered by the locals with enthusiasm and deep sense of gratitude towards the gallant soldiers who fought and laid down their lives during the 1971 War. The Victory Flame shall tour Rupa, Bomdi La and Tawang during the coming days and will remain with the Ball of Fire Division till 23 Sep 21 for participation in various events planned to commemorate the 50 years of war with Pakistan and liberation of Bangladesh.
