Sidhu incompetant,Won't accept him as CM-Captain

After a day long high pitch political drama in Punjab ,ruling Congress on Saturday evening announced that Sonia Gandhi will decide about the new chief minister of the state. State's Congress Legislative Party meeting  passed a resolution for the same. Later , the party in-charge for Punjab Harish Rawat told the press that Punjab MLAs have requested Sonia Gandhi to pick new Chief Minister. The Congress's observer for Punjab, Ajay Maken, said there was no discussion on the name of a Congress Legislative Party leader.

Meanwhile, Punjab Governor Banwarilal Purohit has accepted the resignation of chief minister Amarinder Singh and his council of ministers."The Governor asked him and his Council of Ministers to continue in office, for the transaction of routine business, till alternative arrangements are made," a statement issued by Raj Bhawan said.

Amrinder Singh ruled out accepting Navjot Singh Sidhu as his successor. Sidhu is an incompetent man, he is going to be a disaster. I will oppose his name for the next CM face. He has a connection with Pakistan. It will be a threat to national security, Singh told a new agency. The thing is that this is the third time the party called the MLAs. You have an element of doubt on me... I feel humiliated," he told reporters outside the Punjab Raj Bhawan after submitting his resignation to Governor. The Congress has 80 MLAs in the 117-member state assembly.
