Amrit Udyan opens for visitors with free entry

Amrit Udyan,situated at the Rashtrapati Bhawan, has opened to the general public from Sunday, August 16, 2026 till the 15th of next month. The garden will remain open from 10 AM to 6 PM, with the last entry at 5 PM. It will remain closed on Mondays for maintenance. The garden trail will cover several attractions, including Bal Vatika, Plumeria Garden, Banyan Grove, Bonsai Garden, Babbling Brooks, Central Lawn, Long Garden and Circular Garden. Indigenous and Native flowering plants, known for their vibrant colours and ecological significance, are a major attraction of the Summer Annual Edition. The indigenous collection includes Balsam, Gul-mehndi, Aparajita, Kulfa, Rukmini, Barsha Phool, Morshikha, Dupahariya, Lal Saag, Kalihari and Nagphana, showcasing India’s rich floral heritage and enhancing the biodiversity of the gardens. 
Entry to Amrit Udyan is free for all visitors. However, visitors are required to book their slots online through the Rashtrapati Bhavan website. No on-the-spot booking facility will be available. For the convenience of visitors, drinking water stalls, First Aid posts, rain shelters and restrooms will be provided along the visitor route. A shuttle bus service will also be available between Central Secretariat Metro Station and the entry point to Amrit Udyan. The service will operate at intervals of 30 minutes, from 9:30 AM to 6 PM.
