Thailand Open: PV Sindhu sails into quarter-finals

India's shutller PV Sindhu sailed through to the quarter-finals of Thailand Open after defeating Malaysia’s Kisona Selvaduray 21-10, 21-12 in straight sets on Thursday. Sindhu defeated her Malaysian opponent in a match that lasted 35 minutes. With the win, she has advanced to the quarter-finals of the Toyota Thailand Open.

Meanwhile, mixed doubles pairing of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Ashwini Ponnappa won their 2nd round match, defeating Germany's Mark Lamsfuss and Isabel Herttrich 22-20, 14-21, 21-16 to move into the quarter-final.
