World No Tobacco Day is observed every year on May 31. It is celebrated to create awareness about the ill-effects of tobacco and the diseases it causes. Sharing their thoughts on this day, celebrities said that using tobacco in any form should be banned completely.

Yes, smoking is a huge problem, and I strongly criticize it. Despite our efforts to raise awareness about the dangers of smoking, it seems to be having little impact. I see more and more people smoking every day, and it's a trend that's only increasing. In my opinion, smoking should be completely banned and made illegal, as it's a harmful habit that affects not just individuals but entire communities. Unfortunately, the lack of designated smoking areas in India means that passive smoking is a common occurrence. Moreover, the lucrative nature of the tobacco industry makes it unlikely that smoking will be eradicated anytime soon. Humans have a tendency to be drawn to negative things, as evidenced by the popularity of argumentative and sensationalized news programs. No matter how many warnings are printed on cigarette packets, people will continue to smoke until they suffer the consequences of their actions.

I am completely opposed to tobacco use because it harms the body and leads to cancer. I've witnessed many people suffer from this disease. Tobacco addiction takes over after a while, impairing mental function. Each cigarette you smoke reduces your lifespan. Tobacco causes mouth and throat cancer. The harmful effects of tobacco are well-documented, and it is a substance that causes a great deal of harm to both individuals and society as a whole. I used to smoke, but it was taking a toll on my health and fitness goals. I realized I had to quit, and that's exactly what I did. I can now work out more efficiently, run faster, and even play cricket without getting winded. It's been an amazing one and a half years since I quit smoking, and I'm thrilled to have made the decision to prioritize my health.

Well, I don't think smoking can be banned because if you ban something, it becomes an illegal underground trade like so many other things going on. So, I would suggest that there should be more awareness. Instead of having an actor smoke, I would say there should be more videos about the awareness of what happens when you smoke and what can happen when you smoke.

Nazia is celebrating the success of her movie, Tipppsy. She played the role of an adventurous, strong, and independent girl, Iris. The actress even donned a bikini for one of the sequences of the movie, and said that it made her feel confident and comfortable.

She is now looking for roles that challenge her and also help her improve her craft. She said, “I’m interested in diverse characters and stories that have a strong impact. Whether it’s drama, comedy, or action, I’m open to exploring different genres.”Lastly, she thanked her fans for their love and support for her movie Tipppsy, and said, “Their love and encouragement mean the world to me. I’m excited for what the future holds and can’t wait to share more projects with everyone soon.”

Monika Singh, who was last seen in Tulsi Dham Ke Laddu Gopal, believes that though our country has progressed in terms of accepting the LGBTQIA+ community, we still have a long way to go. She said, “Although progress has been made, acceptance of the LGBTQIA+ community in India still has a long way to go. Unfortunately, many parents still struggle to accept their children if they don't conform to traditional gender norms, and this lack of acceptance can lead to unequal treatment.”
“I have several friends from this community who have faced similar challenges. Moreover, some individuals pretend to be allies but don't genuinely support the cause,” she added.She feels that people who are still in the closet or choose to keep their sexual and gender identities hidden deserve more understanding and space. She said that organisations should be established to provide a safe platform for discussions and support. She added, “Despite their talents, many individuals from the LGBTQ+ community face rejection and discrimination. A system needs to be put in place to address this issue, especially in cities and villages where discussing sexuality is still taboo. Personally, I know people who hide their true identities and pretend to be someone else, and it's heartbreaking.”
Monika also pointed out that social media has played a significant role in raising awareness about LGBTQIA+ by providing a platform for people to share their stories and connect with others who have gone through similar experiences. However, she mentioned that our movies still need to do a lot of work to create awareness.“Movies should promote empathy and understanding to help break down barriers and foster acceptance. I recently watched the movie Bol, featuring Atif Aslam, which was both impactful and heartbreaking. To create more awareness and end the stigma surrounding LGBTQIA+ issues, we need open and honest communication both online and offline. Only then can we dispel these harmful myths and create a more inclusive society,” she ended.
