President Murmu, PM Modi pay tributes to Atal Bihari Vajpayee

The Nation remember former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his seventh death anniversary of on Saturday. President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid floral tributes to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee at his memorial Sadaiv Atal in the National capital.

Union Ministers Rajnath Singh, JP Nadda, Kiren Rijiju, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and Delhi CM Rekha Gupta were also present on the occasion. The BJP stalwart had breathed his last on this day in 2018.

Modi paid tributes to former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Modi said on X, "Remembering Atal Ji on his Punya Tithi. His dedication and spirit of service towards the all-round progress of India continue to inspire everyone in building a developed and self-reliant India." Atal Bihari Vajpayee served as the Prime Minister on three occasions. His first term was for only 13 days in 1996. He served his second term for a period of eleven months from 1998 to 1999 and then a full term from 1999 to 2004. He was awarded India’s highest civilian honour – Bharat Ratna-in 2015.
