Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday inaugurated the state of art Sardardham Bhavan through video conferencing at Ahmedabad in Gujarat. Prime Minister Modi has also laid the foundation stone of Sardardham Phase-II Kanya Chhatralay on this occasion. The Sardardham has been constructed at the cost of 200 crore rupees. Addressing the function, Modi said that we should continue our efforts to protect human values. Referring to the 9/11 terror attack in 2001, the Prime Minister said that this date in the history of the world is known for the attack on humanity, but this date also taught a lot to the whole world. He said that a century ago in 1893, Swami Vivekananda introduced the world to the human values of India at the World Parliament of Religions held in Chicago.
Prime Minister Modi announced to establish a chair in the name of Subramanya Bharti ji in Banaras Hindu University. Modi said that the 'Subramanya Bharati Chair' on Tamil Studies to be established in the Faculty of Arts at BHU will inspire the students and researchers to work towards nation building. Modi said that the government is making continuous efforts to bring forward all sections of the society, who have been left behind. He said that on the one hand, work is being done for the rights of Dalits and backwards, on the other hand 10 percent reservations have been given to those who are backward on economic basis.
Speaking on this occasion, Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani said that the Sardardham project is a symbol of United India- of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. He said that this project will help in fulfilling the dreams and aspirations of youths in Gujarat. Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel said that Patidar Samaj of the state is working in true sense for Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas by their community services.
