The Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday inaugurated the Mahakal Lok in Ujjain's Mahakaleshwar temple by removing the cover through remote from about 15 feet high Shivlingam.

The Rs 850-crore Mahakaleshwar Temple Corridor Development Project will provide the best amenities for those visiting the shrine and offer them a seamless, sublime experience. It will also help people connect with the Hindu culture and tradition.

He also visited Mahakal Lok and inquired about the various works of Mahakal Lok. The Prime Minister also visited the Mahakal Night Garden by e-cart. About 750 folk artists from different states also exhibited their art in the inauguration program.

Earlier Modi offered prayers at Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple. Prime Minister worshiped and performed aarti of Lord Shri Mahakal with full devotion.Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Governor Mangubhai Patel and Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia were also present during the inauguration ceremony.
