PM Modi flags off 4 new Vande Bharat trains from Varanasi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday morning flagged off four new Vande Bharat trains from Uttar Pradesh’s Varanasi. The four trains flagged off- are for the Banaras-Khajuraho, Lucknow-Saharanpur, Firozpur-Delhi, and Ernakulam-Bengaluru routes.

Addressing a rally after the inauguration, PM Modi said these Vande Bharat trains will "enhance connectivity and provide greater comfort" for citizens. "Trains like Vande Bharat, Namo Bharat, and Amrit Bharat are laying the foundation for a new generation of Indian Railways," he said.He also stated how pilgrimages are the means of “awakening the country’s conscience”.Development work done in Uttar Pradesh in last 11 years has taken pilgrimage sites to new level, PM Modi said.

Train number 26462 Firozpur Cantt-Delhi Vande Bharat Express will depart from Firozpur Cantt at 7:55 AM to reach Delhi at 2:35 PM taking 6 hours and 40 minutes. En route it will stop at Faridkot, Bathinda, Dhuri, Patiala, Ambala Cantt, Kurukshetra, and Panipat. In the return direction, train number 26461 Delhi-Firozpur Cantt Vande Bharat Express will leave from Delhi railway station at 4:00 PM to reach Firozpur Cantt. at 10:35 PM. The train will operate 6 days a week, excluding Wednesday.

Train number 26422 Varanasi-Khajuraho Vande Bharat Express will depart from Varanasi at 5:25 AM to reach Khajuraho at 1:10 PM taking 7 hours and 45 minutes. En route the train will stop at Vindhyachal, Prayagraj Chheoki, Chitrakut Dham, Banda, and Mahoba. In the return direction, train number 26421 Khajuraho-Varanasi Vande Bharat Express will leave Khajuraho at 3:20 PM to reach Varanasi at 11:00 PM. The train will run 6 days a week, except Thursday.

Train number 26651 Bengaluru-Ernakulam Vande Bharat Express will depart from KSR Bengaluru at 5:10 AM to reach Ernakulam at 1:50 PM taking 8 hours and 40 minutes. En route it will stop at Krishnarajapuram, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Coimbatore, Palakkad, and Thrissur. In the return direction, train number 26652 Ernakulam-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express will depart from Ernakulam at 2:20 PM to reach Bengaluru at 11:00 PM. The train will run on 6 days a week except Wednesday

Train number 26504 Lucknow Junction-Saharanpur Vande Bharat Express will leave from Lucknow Junction at 5:00 AM to reach Saharanpur at 12:45 minutes taking 7 hours and 45 minutes. En route it will stop at Sitapur, Shahjahanpur, Bareily, Moradabad, Najibabad, and Roorkee. In the return direction, train number 26503 Saharanpur-Lucknow Junction Vande Bharat Express will leave from Saharanpur at 3:00 PM to reach Lucknow Junction at 11:00 PM.
