Newsinc24 Team Madhya Pradesh finance minister Jagdish Devda presented a paperless state annual budget of around 2,41,375 crores on Tuesday. Special attention in the budget is given to infrastructure, education, employment, farmers and women. This time there will be no new tax nor will any existing tax rate to be increased. This was the first budget of the fourth term of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan. The focus of the budget is on making Madhya Pradesh self-reliant.
A new scheme with the objective of creating new self-employment opportunities for the youth through financial institutions is proposed to be launched in the budget.Finance Minister said that 1,75,000 fishermen of the state have been linked with accident insurance scheme.Budget proposes to double the income of fishermen.In the field of education, Gyanodaya schools will be upgraded with CBSE. New regional science sub-center will be set up in Jabalpur.
MBBS seats will be increased to 3250 by 2022-23. Nursing seats will be increased to 320. 9 new medical colleges will be opened in the state. Three cancer hospitals will be set up in Jabalpur, Indore and Bhopal. Police Hospital will be set up in Bhopal and Mahila Police Station will be opened in every district.
