Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that now, India moves ahead with her own conviction and is not pressured by other countries. He stated that confidence of people soars now that India gives a befitting reply to those who conspire against her.Sunday also marks the completion of 7 years of the Narendra Modi government.The Prime Minister said over these years, the country has followed the mantra of 'Sabka-Saath, Sabka-Vikas, Sabka-Vishwas'.
Addressing the nation in his Mann Ki Baat programme in All India Radio, the Prime Minister said people have witnessed how India's doctors, nurses and frontline warriors have toiled day and night without bothering about themselves to tackle the second wave. Modi said several people from various places have been writing in to thank the nation for their village having finally received power and road connection after 70 years of independence. Highlighting the achievements of the seven years since he took power, he referred to them as laurels belonging to the country and his countrymen. He pointed out that in seven decades since independence, only 3.5 crore rural homes had water connections; yet, in the past 21 months of his governance, 4.5 crore more families had been added to this category.
