Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav on Saturday said that sustained efforts are being made under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to generate employment opportunities and build a strong investment ecosystem through enhanced trade and commercial engagement at both national and global levels.
Addressing the India-Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) Trade and Investment Forum 2026 in Indore, Yadav highlighted the role of investment and international partnerships in driving economic growth and creating opportunities for youth, women and businesses.“Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, continuous efforts are being made to generate employment and establish a robust investment framework through trade and commercial activities across the country and the world,” the Chief Minister said.
Emphasising Madhya Pradesh’s contribution to the vision of a developed India, Yadav said the state is actively supporting the Prime Minister’s mission to transform India into a major global economic power. He noted that international trade and investment partnerships are playing a vital role in achieving this objective.

The Chief Minister said the forum reflected the growing economic engagement between India and countries of Latin America and the Caribbean, opening new avenues for cooperation across a range of sectors.“This event stands as a strong example of the deepening relationship between India and the nations of Latin America and the Caribbean,” he said.
Yadav pointed to significant opportunities for collaboration in agriculture, food processing, pharmaceuticals, healthcare services, engineering, information technology, energy, logistics, tourism and skill development. He said partnerships in these sectors could boost investment, facilitate technology transfer and create employment opportunities.
The Chief Minister also highlighted Madhya Pradesh’s growing importance as a destination for international events and economic engagement. Referring to the upcoming meeting of BRICS agriculture ministers, he said the event would further strengthen the state's development prospects.“A meeting of BRICS Agriculture Ministers is scheduled to be held in Indore on June 12 and 13. Madhya Pradesh has a unique agricultural ecosystem, and the state is currently observing the Year of Agricultural Welfare. This event will contribute to the state’s growth and support the Prime Minister’s vision for agricultural development,” he said.Yadav noted that Madhya Pradesh has emerged as a key contributor to India’s agricultural and industrial progress, supported by improving infrastructure, investment-friendly policies and expanding global outreach.
The India-LAC Trade and Investment Forum 2026 brought together policymakers, diplomats, industry leaders and business representatives to explore opportunities for strengthening trade and investment ties between India and countries in the Latin American and Caribbean region.The forum is expected to facilitate greater economic cooperation, promote business partnerships and identify new areas of collaboration aimed at boosting trade, investment and sustainable development.
