IIM Indore successfully completed its placements

Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore has successfully completed the final placements for the batch of 2019-21 for its flagship Post Graduate Programme (PGP) and five years Integrated Program in Management (IPM). In spite of the Covid-19 pandemic this past year, the recruiters showed continued faith in the Institute. More than 210 domestic and international organizations offered roles in various domains. “We are delighted by the continued faith the recruiters have shown in our students. Placing the largest number of students across all IIMs for the Final placements during the ongoing pandemic was a challenging task but the commendable efforts in setting up the virtual placement drive ensured hassle-free completion of the placements.” said Prof. Himanshu Rai, Director IIM Indore.

The average domestic salary was recorded as 23.6 LPA (Lakhs Per Annum), displaying an increase of 3% from the previous year while the average salary of the top 100 students of the batch stood at 33 LPA. The highest domestic salary and the international salary offered this placement season was INR 41.5 LPA and INR 56.8 LPA, respectively. Apart from marquee recruiters, 40+ eminent first-time recruiters like Blue Star, NPCI, Paytm, PhonePe, TATA AIA chose to recruit from IIM Indore for multiple roles.Finance, Sales & Marketing and Consulting were the most sought-after domains with finance comprising 24% of the offers. A wide variety of roles ranging from investment banking and corporate banking to private equity and equity research were offered by top recruiters in the finance domain such as Bank of America, DE Shaw, Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, HDFC Bank, ICICI, JP Morgan Chase & Co., Kotak Mahindra Bank, Morgan Stanley and State Street.

IIM Indore proudly hosted coveted recruiters from the consulting domain including Bain Capability Network, Boston Consulting Group, Deloitte, Ernst & Young, Everest Group, GEP Consulting, Infosys Management Consulting, McKinsey & Company and PricewaterhouseCoopers in management consulting and strategy consulting roles. Recruiters such as Cognizant Business Consulting, Merilytics, MXV Consulting and Optum offered IT & technology consulting roles. General Management and Operations roles were offered by Bridgestone, Capgemini, Hero MotoCorp, L&T, JSW, Tech Mahindra and Whirlpool. Marquee recruiters like American Express, Genpact, Salesforce, Wipro and Yes Bank offered roles in IT/Analytics and Product Management roles.

IIM Indore is the second business school in India to have achieved the Triple Crown consisting of the AACSB, AMBA & EQUIS accreditations. Ranked 7th in the NIRF rankings and 4th in India in QS rankings, IIM Indore became the fourth IIM and fifth Indian business school to be included in the top 100 list on the FT Global MBA Ranking 2021.
