Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that use of drones will prove to be a game changer in many sectors, and termed Kisan drone a new age revolution. The Prime Minister flagged off 100 kisan drones in different cities and towns. Addressing the farmers virtually at Manesar in Haryana, Modi said, this special drive is aimed at helping farmers by giving their produce easy access to the markets. He said, this will also increase the income of farmers and this is a new chapter in the direction of modern agricultural facilities of the 21st century. He expressed confidence that this will not only open the sky to unlimited possibilities, but will also prove to be a milestone in the development of drone sector.
Highlighting the importance of drones in various fields, the Prime Minister said, priority has been given to technology in several policy decisions in this year budget. He said, at present, drones are being used in many different areas including mapping of land, supply of medicines and vaccines, and spraying of pesticides. Talking about the opportunities in the drone sector, Modi said, several reforms have taken place in the country to give opportunities to youth and strengthen the private sector. He said, several companies and startups are growing fast to create new drone ecosystem in the country to tap the immense possibilities.
Prime minister Modi on Saturday inaugurated a Bio-CNG Plant at Indore in Madhya Pradesh. In his virtual address, Modi said Bio CNG Plants will help in making cities clean and pollution-free and the Government is building similar Plants in the next two years in 75 big municipal corporations. Modi said that Indore has achieved this position because of civic duty sense and hard work of the state government.
Earlier Union Minister Hardeep S Puri has said that Bio CNG Plant of 550 MT per day capacity has been set up with the objective of realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji's concept of Waste-to-Wealth and innovation in the field of sanitation. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has said that Madhya Pradesh is trying to fully implement the mantra of Waste-to-Wealth of Prime Minister. Example of this is Gobar-Dhan Bio CNG Plant of Indore. The Indore plant is expected to produce around 17 thousand kilogram CNG per day100 tonnes per day of organic compost. The plant is based on zero-landfill models, whereby no rejects would be generated. Additionally, the project is expected to yield multiple environmental benefits like reduction in greenhouse gas emissions, providing green energy along with organic compost as fertiliser.
