CBI arrested Railway officer, Bank Manager for taking bribe

The CBI has arrested two senior officers in alleged bribery cases. The agency arrested Narayan Singh Bundela, Deputy Chief Engineer-II (Construction), West Central Railway, on Thursday while accepting undue advantage of Rs. 1,00,000 from the complainant in Sagar, M.P. The CBI registered the instant case same day based on a complaint alleging that the accused Deputy Chief Engineer demanded undue advantage of Rs. 1,00,000 from the complainant for release of security deposit, payment of pending bills and PVC dues totaling approx. Rs.1 Crore related to the contract work. During the search of Guest House Room of accused an unaccounted cash of Rs. 62,000 and incriminating documents relating to investment in Real Estate were recovered from his house search. 
The second case is related ithe a Bank official. According to a statement, the agency arrested Gaurav Verma, Branch Manager and Raghvendra Tout/Bank Mitra of Bank of Baroda, Nonari Bujurg Branch, District- Kanpur Dehat, UP in a bribery case. After registering  the instant case on Wednesday based on a complaint alleging that complainant obtained a loan of Rs. 10,00,000 under the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) from the said branch for setting up a solar flour mill in December, 2023.
As per Agency readout, after completion of two years, when the complainant approached the Branch Manager for obtaining  the requisite documents which were necessary for claiming interest subsidy under Pt. Deendayal Gramodyog Rojgar Yojana from aforesaid bank branch and further received first installment of interest subsidy in his account, the accused Branch Manager demanded an undue advantage of Rs. 25,000  through the Tout/Bank Mitra in the said bank branch. Next day, the CBI laid a trap  and caught the accused Tout red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs.15,000 on behalf of the accused Branch Manager from the complainant. Subsequently, the accused Branch Manager and Tout/Bank Mitra have been arrested.
