Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has lashed out at the BJP and has alleged that the party is attempting to overthrow his government with unfair means. Gehlot and Deputy CM Sachin Pilot will also be recording their statements before the police on this.
Gehlot told mediapersons in Jaipur, "I am here to discuss with you the situation in the country and in the state, the condition due to coronavirus and the future of this government. During the corona era, I have been trying to take everyone together to put up a joint fight against this pandemic, but the BJP has crossed all limits of humanity. In the middle of a pandemic, BJP is trying to overthrow my government."
"These are shameless people. There should be a limit to their shamelessness. They got two seats by taking away 7 MLAs in Gujarat. They tried the same thing in Rajasthan but we nullified their attempts. Because of Congress MLAs and support from other MLAs, we got two seats but they are such shameless people that they have again resorted to the same tactics," Gehlot said.
On the other hand SOG in Rajasthan has registered aFIR mentions details of a conversation on the basis of which the case was registered. It has been alleged in the FIR that during the conversation, it was mentioned that Rs 1,000- 2,000 crore can be earned by removing the current government and placing another one.
As per the FIR, names of two MLAs, Kushalgarh MLA Ramila Khadia and Bagidora MLA Mahendrajeet Singh Malviya, were mentioned in the conversation.The FIR, as per SOG, has been registered on the basis of a conversation between two individuals. The case has been registered under sections 124A and 120B of IPC.
Rajasthan Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Satish Poonia launched a stinging attack on Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot for accusing the BJP of trying to topple his government. Poonia said that the CM “has become mentally unstable.
