Enforcement Directorate has attached assets worth 3 crore rupees of TMC leaders Kunal Ghosh, Satabdi Roy and Debjani Mukherjee in the Saradha chit fund money laundering case. It said a provisional order for attachment of the movable and immovable properties has been issued under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.
-The Union Government has said that no fresh registrations of healthcare and frontline workers for COVID-19 vaccination will be allowed from now on. In a letter to states and union territories, Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan said that some ineligible beneficiaries in this category are getting their names enlisted for vaccination against COVID-19 in violation of rules. He said, this issue was discussed with state representatives and domain knowledge experts in the NEGVAC meeting and as per the recommendation of National Expert Group on Vaccine Administration for COVID-19 (NEGVAC), it has been decided that no fresh registrations in categories of HCWs and FLWs will be allowed with immediate effect. He said registration of persons aged 45 years and above will continue to be permitted on Co-WIN portal. Bhushan, however, asked the states and UTs to ensure universal vaccination of already registered healthcare workers and frontline workers at the earliest. The pan-India vaccination drive was kick-started on January 16 with healthcare workers getting inoculated and the vaccination of frontline workers started from February 2.
-Bhartiya Janta Party has alleged that Trinamool Congress is running a extortion and corruption syndicate in the West Bengal. Briefing reporters in New Delhi, BJP leader Gaurav Bhatia said, three audio tapes broadcast by the various TV channels revealed about the organized structure of the corruption network prevailing in the State.He said, contents of the audio tapes highlight the organized syndicate which is running under the political protection of Mamata Banerjee's government. He said, the entire scandal is worth about a thousand crore rupees. Terming the extortion scandal a serious issue, Bhatia said, BJP is committed to end the extortion and corruption syndicate from the West Bengal.
-At least 23 people were killed on Saturday in terrorist attacks on two military bases Lower Shabelle province in Somalia. Government spokesman Ismael Mukhtar said, two suicide car bombers struck two military bases in the district of Awdhegle and Bariire village in the Lower Shabelle province. Somali armed forces said they had killed 19 militants in both attacks shortly as after the bombings, the heavily-armed insurgents tried to storm the army bases. Army commander Abdullahi Rage said four soldiers were killed and scores of others were injured in the exchange of fire.

Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu has conveyed his greetings and good wishes to the people of the country on the occasion of Easter which marks the resurrection of Lord Jesus Christ. Naidu has said that Jesus Christ revered as the savior of mankind, illuminated a path of salvation for humanity through love, peace, compassion and forgiveness. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has greeted everyone on the occasion of Easter. Modi said, on this day, we remember the pious teachings of Jesus Christ. The Prime Minister added that Christ's emphasis on social empowerment inspires millions across the world.
