PM Modi releases 20th PM-KISAN installment of Rs20,500 crore

In Varanasi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday inaugurated and laid foundation for development projects worth over Rs 2,000 crore and to distributed the 20th installment of the PM KISAN Samman Nidhi worth Rs 20,500 crore to over 9.70 eligible farmers nationwide from Benaras.The PM informed that 3 lakh 75 crore rupees till date have been transferred to the farmers’ accounts under PM Kishan Samman Nidhi. Out of this amount, 90 thousand crore has been given to 2.5 crore farmers of Uttar Pradesh and 900 crore to the farmers of Kashi.

Addressing the gathering, PM highlighted his connection with Kashi and said that after the success of Operation Sindoor, he is visiting Kashi for the first time. With the grace of Baba Vishwanath, India has given justice to the victims of the Pahalgam attack. He dedicated the success of Operation Sindoor to Baba Vishwanath. He said that the unity and strength of 140 crore people resulted in the success of Operation Sindoor. Modi indirectly responded to former US President Donald Trump’s recent remarks labelling India’s economy as “dead,” asserting that India is poised to become the world’s third-largest economy and must remain vigilant in protecting its interests amid global instability.

Speaking on the occasion, CM Yogi Adityanath said that after the success of Operation Sindoor, this is the prime minister’s first visit to Kashi. He said that during Operation Sindoor, the whole world has seen the power of New India. CM Yogi said that in the last 11 years under the leadership of the prime minister, various schemes have been launched for farmers. He added that whether it is the Central or the State Government, the welfare of farmers remains a priority.

The projects inaugurated by the prime minister cater to multiple sectors, including infrastructure, education, healthcare, tourism, urban development and cultural heritage to achieve holistic urban transformation, cultural rejuvenation, improved connectivity, and enhanced quality of life in Varanasi.
