MP to recruit for one lakh govt posts this year: CM Yadav

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Saturday said the state government will recruit around one lakh people for government jobs this year as part of its efforts to provide employment to youths. Addressing a programme held by an organisation named the ‘Hindu Economic Forum’ in Indore, Yadav said more than 85,000 government posts had been filled in different departments during the past two-and-a-half years. “This year we are going to recruit around one lakh more people for government posts,” he said.
The government had decided to expedite the process of filling vacant posts from December 2025 amid complaints that work was being affected by a shortage of employees and officials in government departments. After obtaining department-wise details of vacant posts from the General Administration Department, the Chief Minister had directed that around 1 lakh posts be filled. Following this, the process of filling the vacancies began through different recruitment agencies.
The promotion process for officers and employees in the state, which had been stalled for around 10 years, has also been resumed. According to the Chief Minister, officers and employees have been promoted to around 1 lakh posts following the first round of the DPC. The posts that have fallen vacant in departments as a result of these promotions are now also being counted.
