Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) prices have gone up again in Delhi-NCR, marking the second increase in just two days. CNG in Delhi will now cost Rs 80.09 per kg, while in Noida, Greater Noida, and Ghaziabad, it will be Rs 88.70 per kg.
The hike comes after a Rs 2 increase on May 15, bringing the total rise to Rs 3 per kg within 48 hours. The earlier increase followed a rise in petrol and diesel prices, which were raised by Rs 3 per litre for the first time in more than four years.
The surge in fuel prices is linked to rising global crude oil rates, partly due to disruptions in oil supply caused by the ongoing US-Iran conflict in the Strait of Hormuz. Petrol and diesel rates in Delhi now stand at Rs 97.77 per litre and Rs 90.67 per litre, respectively. Prices vary across states due to different value-added taxes.
