BJP President Nitin Nabin has said that the Telangana Congress government led by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is engaging in divisive politics and appeasement, targeting the state’s Hindu temples and traditions. Addressing a Public meeting at Mahboob Nagar in Telangana on Wednesday, Nabin stated that the BJP has vowed to protect Sanatan Dharma and Hindu sentiments, warning that the Congress’s actions will have consequences. He warned that the Congress would not be in power for long if temples are insulted and restrictions are imposed on Hindu festivals.
He called upon the party workers to campaign vigorously, highlighting the Modi government’s policies and the Congress government’s broken promises, particularly regarding financial support for women, farmers, and marginalised communities. The BJP chief said that the party aims to win the upcoming municipal elections, emphasising the need for good governance and development in Telangana.
Highlighting that the BJP won a series of elections in the country post 2024 Lok Sabha polls showing people's faith in the leadership of PM Modi, he cited the examples of Bihar assembly polls and civic body polls in Maharashtra, Kerala, Chandigarh and others. Nabin, who recalled Union Home Minister Amit Shah's statement in the past that the BJP should win from panchayat to parliament, also said new leaders would also be promoted.
