Two states- Bihar and Maharashtra - has got new Chief Secretaries. Arun Kumar Singh has been appointed new Chief Secretary of Bihar. He repalce Dipak Kumar, who is retiring this month. Singh is a 1985 batch IAS officer. Simultaniously, Sitaram Kunte will take over the new Chief Secretary of Maharashtra. He is also a 1985 batch IAS officer. Manu Kumar Srivastava has been appointed new Additional Chief Secretary, Home in Maharashtra. He is 1986 batch IAS officer.
In Delhi also the govt also could not appoint regular officers . Tarun Bajaj, Secretary, Economic Affair, has been given the additional charge of the Revenue department till the appointment of a regular incumbent. Bajaj is a 1988 batch Haryana cadre IAS officer.
After the retirement of Dr A P Maheshwari as DG, CRPF, Kuldip Singh has been appointed as acting DG, CRPF. He is a 1986 batch West Bengal cadre IPS officer.
The Election Commission of India transferred two senior IPS officers in poll-bound West Bengal on Saturday. PS officer Jawed Shamim, who was serving as the additional director general of police, was transferred as the director general (DG) fire services, and DG (fire services) Jag Mohan will take his place. Mohan will also take charge of Shamim’s duties as the state police nodal office
