In Uttarakhand, a 4.2 magnitude earthquake struck near Joshīmath, in Chamoli district at 5.50 on Saturday morning, according to the National Center for Seismology (NCS). As per reports, tremors were also felt in Bageshwar ,Champawat, Tehri Garhwal, Rudraprayag and other parts of the state. People came out of their homes in some parts of the hilly region. However no loss of lives or property was reported.
Meanwhile, Delhi and NCR is experiancing light to Moderate rain since Saturday morning. India Meteorological Department has predicted that thunderstorm with moderate to heavy intensity rain will occur over most places of Delhi and NCR.The IMD has predicted that Delhi along with Gurugram, Noida, Faridabad, Karnal, Manesar, etc would witness moderate to heavy intensity rainfall on Saturday. Earlier this month, Delhi recorded the highest rainfall in September in the past 19 years. The national capital recorded 112.1 mm rainfall on September 1. Besides, Delhi also saw the highest rainfall in 11 years--1,005.3 mm so far this year.
Parts of the Indira Gandhi Airport (IGI) airport in New Delhi have been waterlogged following record rain in the national capital. The Delhi Airport released a video of T-3 in the noon.

The weather office had issued an 'orange alert' on Friday as the monsoon rainfall in Delhi breached the 1,000 mm mark, the highest rainfall in the national capital in 11 years. Both IndiGo, SpiceJet confirmed on Twitter that all departures/arrivals and their consequential flights may get affected as a result of the rainfall.
