All party meeting convened by the government at the Parliament House, ahead of the commencement of the Winter session from Monday, has concluded. Talking to the media after the meeting, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi said opposition parties have put forth their suggestions in the meet. He said Defence Minister Rajnath Singh assured that government is willing to discuss all issues which the Speaker will allow discussion on. Joshi hoped that the upcoming Parliament session will be productive. Joshi said 31 parties participated in the talks. “As many as 42 leaders from various parties participated in a constructive discussion.
Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge said several issues, including inflation, fuel price hike, farmers' concerns and Covid-19, were raised at the meeting. He further said that for some reasons,PM did not attend the meeting. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), however, walked out of the meeting, claiming it was not allowed to speak.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi, Commerce minister Piyush Goyal, Congress leaders Mallikarjun Kharge, Anand Sharma, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, NCP leader Sharad Pawar, SP leader Ram Gopal Yadav, BSP MP Satish Chandra Mishra, National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah, YSRCP MP Vijay Sai Reddy, DMK leaders T R Baalu and Tiruchi Siva, TMC leaders Derek OBrien and Sudip Bandyopadhyay, Republican party chief Ramdas Athawale, Pashupati Kumar Paras of Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party, Apna Dal leader Anupriya Patel were among those who attended the meet.
