President emphasizes on development of Tribal, Dalit community

President Ramnath Kovind has said that the development of the Country can never be complete without the development of the people of tribal and Dalit community.President was speaking at the tribal congregation Vanvasi Samagam in Sonbhadra district of Uttar Pradesh on Sunday.Stressing on the need of inclusive development President said that like Lord Rama triumphed with the help of tribals, now the country needs to take the tribal community along with it on the path of development. On the second day of his tour to Uttar Pradesh, President visited  Chapki area in Babhani Block of Sonbhadra district where he graced the Vanvasi Samagam as Chief guest and inaugurated the newly constructed building of Seva Kunj Ashram. During his address, the President said that the education institutions working among tribals are like temples. Praising the vastness and uniqueness of tribal culture, the President said that there is a need to develop the art and rich culture of tribals. He said that if given the chance and support these artists can showcase their performance in different parts of the country and even abroad. He also praised the work being done for the tribals of the region and said that if anyone wants to understand the roots of the tribal culture he needs to visit Sonbhadra area.

-The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has announced a new scheme for tourist vehicle operators.  Any tourist vehicle operator may apply for an All India tourist authorization and permit  through online mode. It will be issued, after relevant documents are submitted and fees deposited, within 30 days of submission of such applications. The new set of rules, to be known as, All India Tourist Vehicles Authorization and Permit Rules, 2021, will be applicable from 1st April this year. All existing permits shall continue to be in force during their validity. The new rules for permits are expected to go a long way in promoting tourism across the states. It will also consolidate a central database and fees of all such authorization which might give a sense of tourist movements, scope for improvement and promotion of tourism.

-Senior BJP leader and Home minister Amit Shah said that, the flood problem of Assam will be solved if BJP is voted to power again.  Addressing a poll rally at Margherita, Shah assured that the NDA government would solve the flood problem within 5 years. He urged people to support the BJP for the continuous development process. Addressing a rally at Gohpur,  Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said that the development works of the Modi government has improved the living conditions of the common people. Meanwhile, Chief Minister of Chattisgarh Bhupesh Baghel at Dibrugarh and AICC General Secretary in- charge of Assam,  Jitendra Singh Alwar at Guwahati, simultaneously released the Charge- sheet against the BJP government in Assam. The party alleged that the BJP government has failed to protect the Jati, Mati and Bheti, community, land and base for the people of Assam. The Congress also said that the BJP government failed to provide job to unemployed youths.  It also said that the BJP government failed to solve the flood and erosion problems.

-Ministry of Civil Aviation has proposed about 392 routes under UDAN 4.1 bidding process on the occasion of commencement of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. The UDAN 4.1 round is focused on connecting smaller airports, along with special helicopter and seaplane routes. In addition to these, some new routes have been proposed under the Sagaramala Seaplane Services in consultation with the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways. Till date, 325 routes and 56 airports including 5 heliports and 2 Water Aerodromes have been operationalised under the UDAN scheme.The Regional Connectivity Scheme, UDAN, Ude Desh Ka Aam Nagrik, is a flagship scheme of the Ministry of Civil Aviation envisaged to make air travel affordable and widespread in the country. The scheme intends to boost inclusive national economic growth, employment opportunities and air transport infrastructure development across the nation. 

-India’s soft power, specially the power of Indian cinema was on display when fans of superstar Aamir Khan in Beijing celebrated his birthday. The event was held at the premises of the Indian Embassy in Beijing. Fans of the star gathered to cherish his work and his visits to China.They said that a lot of Chinese people are fond of Indian culture and eager to know about it.They said they get connected with Aamir Khan's movies due to the family values involved and the social messaging which relate to common social issues in China as well specially related to education system, women related issues in the society etc. The Aamir Khan fans club came into being in 2015 and has been celebrating his birthday since then.

-In Women's Cricket, South Africa defeated India by Seven Wickets with Eight Balls remaining in the 4th ODI at Lucknow. With this victory the visitors have clinched the series with an unassailable lead of 3-1.South African players Lizelle Lee, who scored sixty nine, Skipper Laura Wolvaardt who hit Fifty Three, Lara Goodall who hammered an unbeaten Fifty Nine and Mignon du Preez who scored Sixty One runs took the team reach the victory target of 267 comfortably.Earlier, aided by an unbeaten 104 by Punam Raut and her century partnership with skipper Mithali Raj, the hosts scored 266 for four in the stipulated 50 overs.
