Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday launched the National Automobile Scrappage Policy while virtually addressed the Investor Summit in Gujarat. Ahead of his address, PM Modi, in a tweet, described the National Automobile Scrappage Policy as a “significant milestone” in India's development journey. “The Investor Summit opens a new range of possibilities. I would request our youth and start-ups to to join this program. Vehicle scrapping will help phase out unfit and polluting vehicles in an environment friendly manner. Our aim is to create a viable circular economy,” he tweeted.
