Two Central Police Organisations have got new chiefs. Pankaj Kumar Singh has been appointed new DG, Border Security Force (BSF) while Sanjay Arora will join as DG, ITBP. BSF DG post was lying vacant for the last one month. Arora will take over from SS Deshwal, who is scheduled to retire on August 31 as DG, ITBP. Both IPS officers belong to 1988 batch. Singh is presently posted as Spl DG, BSF. Singh is a Rajasthan cadre IPS officer while Arora is a Tamil Nadu cadre IPS officer.
Balaji Srivastava has been appointed as new DG of BPR&D. He is a 1988 batch AGMUT cadre IPS officer.
The BPR&D was headless for the last almost one year.
