Nation remembers former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his 3rd death anniversary

The nation remembred Bharat Ratna, former Prime Minister  Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his third death anniversary on Monday.He passed away on Ausgust 16 in 2018. President Ram Nath Kovind, Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah,  Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, BJP President J P Nadda and  other senior leaders visited  Atal Bihari Vajpayee's  memorial, Sadaiv Atal in the national capital and  paid their floral tributes. Later in a tweet,  the Vice President said, Atal ji was a visionary politician, brilliant orator, learned litterateur and  a veteran Parliamentarian, who devoted his whole life in selfless service to the nation.  He added that his  contribution towards  nation building will always be remembered with respect. The Prime Minister  recalled  his warm personality,  endearing nature,  wit and humour and  his contribution to national progress.  He said, Atal Bihari Vajpayee lives in the hearts and minds of  the  citizens. 
 Born on 25th December  1924 in Gwalior,  Atal Bihari Vajpayee's contribution towards public life and India’s development will always be cherished.  He  had a long parliamentary experience spanning over four decades and his legacy as the Prime Minister is a rich one that is remembered  even today.  It includes the Pokhran nuclear tests, astute and wise economic policies that laid the foundation of the longest period of sustained growth in independent Indian history and massive infrastructure projects.
