The Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) on Friday awarded medals to winners of All India Police Water Sports Championship-2021 including coaches. ITBP Director General Sanjay Arora said the success of ITBP Water Sportspersons will surely be a motivation for other players of the force. Inspector General (Training) I. S. Duhan said that the force won 24 medals in three categories of the Championship. He said, ITBP Commendation Rolls and cash reward of one lakh 69 thousand rupees have been awarded for their outstanding performance at the championship.
38 members of the central Water Sports team of ITBP have won medals in 3 types of water sports championships in Rowing, Kayaking and Canoeing rounds of the Championship. ITBP won the Rowing Championship and finished as Runners up in Kayaking and Canoeing with 4 Gold, 13 Silver and 4 Bronze Medals. 3 medals were won by women personnel of the force in Rowing, Kayaking and Canoeing.
