Holi, the festival of colors, was celebrated across the country on Friday with traditional enthusiasm and joy. The festival marks the arrival of spring, symbolizes the triumph of good over evil, and fosters a spirit of unity and harmony. It transcends barriers of caste, creed, age, and gender, bringing people together in a vibrant celebration of togetherness, equality, and fraternity. Festivities began with Holika Dahan, observed a day before Holi, signifying the victory of righteousness.
President Droupadi Murmu greeted countrymen on the auspicious occasion of Holi, the festival of colors. In a social media post, the President said that the festival is a symbol of India’s precious cultural heritage and gives the message of unity, love, and harmony.Murmu urged the citizens to come together and take a pledge to fill the lives of all the children of Mother India with the colors of continuous progress, prosperity, and happiness.
Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar greeted citizens on the auspicious occasion of Holi. In a social media post, Mr. Dhankhar said that Holi marks the triumph of good over evil and the arrival of spring, symbolizing new beginnings and fresh perspectives.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also wished the people on the occasion of Holi as well. In a social media post, he expressed that this festival, filled with joy and happiness, will bring new enthusiasm and energy into everyone’s lives while strengthening the colors of unity among the countrymen.
In Uttar Pradesh, the joy of Holi is visible across the state from Braj mandal to Ayodhya Dham.Travelers from all over the world experianced the rich cultural heritage, vibrant colors and lively environment of holi in Mathura, Vrindavan and Barsana.
In Gujarat, the festival of Holi-Dhuleti was celebrated with great zeal and fervor. People celebrated the festival of colors with great enthusiasm by throwing colors and Abil Gulal on each other. Phul Dolotsav and Phaguni Poonam were also celebrated in the holy pilgrimage places of the state.
