Through the Sanskrit verse, Modi highlighted the values of effort and perseverance embodied by Indian farmers. Drawing a parallel, he noted that just as a small seed sown by a farmer grows into a bountiful harvest with timely care and nurturing, even a modest effort made with sincerity can lead to significant success. The message comes at a time when several regional festivals celebrating new beginnings and harvest seasons are being observed across India. These include Poila Boishakh in West Bengal, Rongali Bihu in Assam, and Vishu in Kerala. The Prime Minister’s message underscores the central role farmers play not only in ensuring food security but also in shaping India’s cultural and festive traditions, which remain deeply rooted in the agricultural cycle.
