Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday launched multiple key initiatives in the education sector during the inaugural conclave of Shikshak Parv. These are Indian Sign Language Dictionary – an audio and text embedded sign language video for the hearing impaired in conformity with Universal Design of Learning, Talking Books which are audio books for the visually impaired and School Quality Assurance and Assessment Framework of Central Board of Secondary Education. Modi also launched NISHTHA teachers’ training programme for NIPUN Bharat and Vidyanjali portal for facilitating education volunteers, donors and Corporate Social Responsibility contributors for school development.
The Prime Minister said, the initiatives launched will shape the future of the sector. One of the initiatives, School Quality Assessment and Assurance will not only make education competitive, but will also make students future-ready. Modi said education should not only be inclusive but also be equitable as he launched multiple key initiatives in the education sector. He congratulated the teachers who received National Awards and lauded their work under difficult circumstances.Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Ministers of State for Education Annpurna Devi, Dr. Subhas Sarkar and Dr. Rajkumar Ranjan Singh were present on this occasion.
