The Indian share markets recovered and traded higher on Friday supported by positive geopolitical developments.

The United States said on Wednesday it would not allow any new exemptions from sanctions. 

India’s trade surplus with the United States narrowed in the financial year 2025–26, even as exports registered modest growth, weighed down by a sharp rise in imports.

The domestic share markets ended marginally lower in the volatile session on Thursday.

India’s wholesale inflation surged to  3.88 per cent in March, a 41-month high ,driven largely by a sharp uptick in fuel prices.

The domestic share market indices traded on a positive note on Wednesday, led by easing geopolitical concerns following optimism around renewed US-Iran peace talks.
