Apurv Chandra appointed Information & Broadcasting secretary

Apurva Chandra has been appointed as Secretary in Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. He is a 1988 batch Maharshtra Cadre IAS officer.  Before coming to MIB,Chandra was serving as Secretary in Ministry of Labour and Employment. Higher Education Secretary Amit Khare was holding the additional charge of the post of Information and Broadcasting secretary for over a year now.

The ACC also cleared the empanelment to 14 IPS officers for holding ADG/ADG Equivalent level posts at the Centre. These officers belong to 1990 to 1992 batches.
