Home Minister Amit Shah presided over as Chief Guest at the 57th BSF Raising Day Parade held at Jaisalmer in Rajasthan on Saturday. The BSF, which was raised on December 1, 1965, after the India-Pakistan war, guards over 6,000 km of the international border. The Raising Day Parade is being organized outside Delhi for the first time.Participating in the event, Union Home Minister Amit Shah took the salute of the Parade. He also presented medals to BSF personnel on the occasion.
The Home Minister reviewed the security situation at the Indo-Pak border. He also witnessed the patrolling done by the BSF personnel along the international border.The Home Minister interacted with the BSF personnel at Rohitash Border Post and also spent the night with them. He presented medals to the personnel of Border Security Force. Shah said, “More than 35,000 soldiers of the country’s police force, BSF and CAPF have sacrificed their lives at different places. He paid tribute to all the soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice. Shah said that wherever there is an attempt to encroach on the border, we have retaliated immediately. No one can take our border and our soldiers lightly, India has given this message.
