Iran on Thursday said it had not yet reached a final decision on a possible agreement with Washington, after US President Donald Trump announced what he described as a "great settlement" to end the conflict. "So far, Iran has not reached a final conclusion on the agreement," Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei said. His remarks came after Trump said a deal could be signed in Europe within the next few days, adding that the documents were in the final stages and describing the breakthrough as a "great settlement." Trump also claimed ,the United States got “everything” it wanted and that Tehran would not obtain nuclear weapons and added that Vice President JD Vance would attend a US-Iran deal signing, which is expected to take place in Europe this weekend.Trump said he canceled scheduled strikes against Iran planned for Thursday evening after discussions with Tehran were "brought to the highest level of Iranian leadership and approved."

Iran has not approved any text for an initial memorandum of understanding with the United States, IRGC-affiliated Fars news agency cited an informed source close to Iran's negotiating team as saying on Thursday.
