Punjab CM-designate Bhagwant Mann and AAP national convener Arvind Kejariwal on Sunday held a victory roadshow in Amritsar to mark their spectacular win Punjab elections. Ahead of the rally, they paid obeisance at Golden Temple in Amritsar. The leaders were accompanied with over 92 legislators landing there with their followers. Shortly before the roadshow, both the leaders visited the iconic Golden Temple and the Jallianwala Bagh Memorial and offered tributes. "We want to thank the people of Punjab. They have given us a huge responsibility," CM pick Mann told reporters. Earlier, Mann and Kejariwal were honoured by the SGPC Amritsar.

The AAP has promised to bring reforms in the state where the Congress faced a crushing defeat, winning just 18 seats. The AAP's tally is said to be the highest that any party has managed in the state in a very long time. Five-time chief minister Parkash Singh Badal, the Congress's Charanjit Singh Channi and Navjot Singh Sidhu were among the political heavyweights who were defeated by AAP candidates in the state elections this year. The Congress is said to have suffered due to the constant infighting, which also led to the shock exit of Amarinder Singh.
