In Afghanistan,Taliban is set to form the government on Friday. As per report the Taliban likely to form a government after Friday prayers. Meanwhile, one person died after a stampede happened along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border while people were trying to flee the Taliban's reign of terror. As per a CNN news report, the incident happened at the Spin Boldak-Chaman land border crossing.
Pakistan on Thursday temporarily closed a key border crossing with Afghanistan, apparently due to fear of the influx of refugees eager to leave their homeland after the Taliban seized power last month. Chaman border crossing - the second-largest commercial border point with Afghanistan after the Torkham commercial town in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa - has been closed due to security threats, Geo News reported.
In another development, dozens of women's rights activists, students and women working in government institutions have gathered in the city of Herat to "preserve their achievements in the next government", Tolonews reported. The protesters held banners saying: "No government is sustainable without women," and called for the inclusion of women in the next government.
