In Maharashtra, at least six people were killed and several others wounded in a major fire that erupted in a multi-storey building near Bhatia Hospital in Mumbai on Saturday morning. According to informatin the massive blaze that started around 7 am on the 18th floor of Kamla building opposite Gandhi Hospital at Gowalia Tank in Mumbai's Tardeo area. Thirteen fire tenders were at the scene to douse the blaze, along with five ambulances to rush any possible casualties to hospital. The wounded were shifted to Bhatia hospital. “Six old age people needed oxygen support system. The blaze is under control but smoke is huge,” Mumbai's mayor Kishori Pednekar told reporters. Maharashtra BJP president Mangal Prabhat Lodha called it an "unfortunate incident".
