Gujarat CM participates in Panchkoshi Holy circumambulation

Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel visited Rampura Ghat in Nandod taluka of Narmada district on Tuesday morning to participate in the ongoing Panchkoshi Parikrama, a sacred circumambulation of the Narmada River observed during the month of Chaitra. He performed rituals and offered prayers to Narmada Maiyya, seeking blessings for the happiness, peace, and prosperity of Gujarat's citizens and the welfare of the world.
During his visit, CM Patel observed the natural beauty of the Narmada River and inspected facilities provided for pilgrims by the Gujarat Pavitra Yatradham Vikas Board and the Narmada district administration at Rampura Ghat. He reviewed the health department's relief camp, stalls set up by women's self-help groups, the CCTV control room along the circumambulation route, and other amenities, expressing satisfaction with the arrangements. The Chief Minister highlighted that, thanks to the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Narmada's waters have reached regions like Kutch, alleviating water scarcity and contributing to Gujarat's transformation into a greener state.
Following his time at Rampura Ghat, CM Patel visited the Ranchhodraiji Temple, where he offered prayers and interacted with pilgrims from various parts of the country. He inquired about their experiences and gathered feedback on the facilities provided by the state government and district administration. The pilgrims expressed their gratitude for the arrangements made. Emphasizing the government's commitment to facilitating religious practices, CM Patel stated that the state is progressing with the mantra of "your faith, our system," aiming to establish permanent facilities for devotees undertaking the Panchkoshi Parikrama.
Rishikesh Ojha, a pilgrim from Maharashtra, presented a Hindi book detailing the significance of the Narmada Parikrama to the Chief Minister and commended the facilities provided. Additionally, Narmada District Collector S.K. Modi honored CM Patel with a shawl and a statue of Narmada Maiyya, while Ramesh Merja, Secretary of the Gujarat Pavitra Yatradham Vikas Board, presented him with a Shriphal and Mataji’s chundri (a sacred cloth). The Chief Minister was accompanied by Narmada District Panchayat President Bhimsinh Tadvi, Bharuch MP Mansukhbhai Vasava, Chhota Udaipur MP Jashubhai Rathwa, Nandod MLA Dr. Darshanaben Deshmukh, and other local leaders and officials during his visit.
