Bihar polls: BJP releases third list, fields candidates on all 101 seats

The BJP announced its candidates for all 101 seats which the party got after the seat-sharing arrangement in the NDA, with the party on Wednesday evening releasing the third list of 18 nominees for the upcoming Bihar polls. Earlier in the day, the party released the second list of its 12 candidates for the assembly polls, fielding singer Maithili Thakur from Alinagar seat and former IPS officer Anand Mishra from Buxar. According to the third list, Bina Devi will contest from Kochadhaman seat and Sangeeta Kumari from Mohania, which is reserved for the Scheduled Castes. With this, the BJP has announced its candidates for all 101 seats of its share in the NDA.

Union Minister Chirag Paswan-led Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), today released the first list of 14 candidates out of the 29 seats allotted to the party in the seat-sharing arrangement within the NDA for the Bihar Assembly elections. The party has fielded Raju Tiwari from Govindganj, Sanjay Kumar Singh from Simri Bakhtiyarpur, Vishnu Dev Paswan from Darouli, Seemant Mrinal from Garkha, Surendra Kumar from Sahebpur Kamal, Sanjay Kumar from Bakhri, and Babulal Shaurya from Parbatta. The elections for the 243-member Bihar Assembly are scheduled to be held in two phases on November 6 and 11. The counting of votes will take place on November 14.
